Education Grants Program

Overview

The TBI Trust Fund awards grants annually to Colorado organizations to conduct educational programs about TBI, including, but not limited to professional development, seminars, conferences, lectures, development of written or internet materials, or distribution of educational information, etc. Grants are available for up to $10,000 per fiscal year.

Types of Grants Funded

Previously funded education grants include projects focused on: vocational rehabilitation, sports concussion education for coaches and parents, military service members and veterans with TBI, information for law enforcement personnel, teachers and counselors in school districts, victims’ advocates, nursing home staff, family adjustment, elderly fall prevention and many more. Proposals are evaluated on relevance, feasibility, number of people served, geographic distribution, measurable outcomes, and a realistic budget.

Grant Application Process

Grant applications of up to ten pages will be available February 4, 2011, and are due April 15, 2011 to co.tbiprogram@state.co.us. Notification will be given by May 13, 2011 and projects run July 1, 2011–May 31, 2012.
